V-type regulating ball valve

Apr 12, 2026

V-type regulating ball valves, due to the V-shaped structure of the ball core, exert a shearing action on the valve seat. Therefore, they are suitable for controlling relevant process parameters in suspension media containing fibers or small solid particles in industrial enterprises such as papermaking, chemical, and metallurgical manufacturing. They are particularly suitable for the automatic regulation of fluids containing suspended particles such as pulp, white water, black liquor, and slurry-like fluids in pulping and papermaking processes.

This type of V-type ball valve is a fixed ball valve and a single-seat sealed ball valve. Its regulating performance is the best among ball valves, with an equal percentage flow characteristic and a turntable ratio of up to 100:1. Its V-shaped notch exerts a shearing action between the ball and the metal valve seat, making it particularly suitable for media containing fibers, small solid particles, and slurries. Three-way ball valves are available in T-type and L-type. The T-type allows three orthogonal pipes to be connected and the third channel to be cut off, serving as a diversion and merging function. The L-type can only connect two orthogonal pipes and cannot simultaneously maintain the connection of a third pipe; it only serves a distribution function.
